Theater of Interruptions: Rehearsal for an Unfinished History (Portugal) reenacts moments of disjunction and contradiction within Portuguese history. We aim to provoke, interrupt, and question the concept of the nation, and what remains of democratic sovereignty in the present context of austerity and what has been called the “counter-revolution.” We present a series of performative reenactments that form the basis of a film within a film, about Portugal as the protagonist of a tale of globalization.
