For "PVK: Towards a Sustainable Bubble" the viewer is invited to pedal a bicycle that inflates a metaphorical economic bubble. Through physical expenditure, labor is translated into value; however once reserves of energy are exhausted the bubble collapses. This sculpture's performance begs the viewer, is another "sustainable" equation possible beyond the economic cycles of desire (scarcity), fulfillment (prosperity) and collapse of late capitalism?
